Listening Strategies
Prediction
Use the reading time before each audio clip to anticipate the type of information expected (proper noun, date, amount, profession).
Signpost Words
Listen for transition markers: *however, on the other hand, although, finally*. They often signal a correction or the final answer.
Continuous Focus
The recording is played only once. Do not waste time regretting a missed answer; focus immediately on the next question.
